Hey Buddy!
Let’s try to understand how education and our job opportunities complement each other today. When we talk about education, the first thing that comes to mind is the fun we had in college right? Those days were so great and fun-filled.
You were last bencher? Me too!! I used to sit in the last bench, listen to concepts only for once, and then start chit-chatting :D. It was so crazy!
Or you were the first bencher? Let me tell you something, I am also a first bencher in my PG. I got all serious about my career and so sat in first to make the best of each class. Honestly, I have been enjoying it. I wouldn’t agree to the point ‘Only Last Benchers make the history’. “First Benchers rock too”. We have fun too. But just outside the class mostly :D :D.
No matter where we sat and what we took from our college, we all agree that we had real fun there! We got a little off-topic :D.
Let’s get back to our main topic for today which is to understand how education and our job opportunities complement each other. Irrespective of how we learn and how much we enjoy learning new things, our skillset will not be enhanced until we actually have a hands-on experience. After completing our degree, if we don’t work on our skill set, we will be just
personifications of books. You know what's the use of the book? Actually, nothing.. I know I am sounding pretty strange right now but think about it. What is the difference between the book and a person who knows everything that is present only in the book?
Honestly, not much. I guess you are reading this on your smartphone/system. Did you actually read the manual of how to use the phone/system? No right? We referred to it only when we got stuck. In other words, we learned using a mobile/system by actually using it and not just reading about it. The same holds good in almost all fields.
We can’t learn how to swim by just spending 100 hours on a book that defines swimming. We gotta get into the water.
But do you really jump into the ocean to learn swimming? No right? Why? Because it is not wise. We learn it in small pools and then larger pools and so on... Keeping all these in mind, we shall try to be wise and smart.. This is going to decide our
future. We should do our research and find out what skills are being asked for. After that, start working on it. There are so many free tools in so many fields. Let’s use them. Let’s be smart people!
There is one more way of being smart. That is doing an Internship. The internship is more like a job which we will do for a couple of months and this will help us know how the industry actually works. The internship is more of a bridge between your books and the job. They help us learn real skills, know the market needs, understand the work. It will definitely boost the confidence and the probability of landing our dream jobs! The internship is the platform to learn a real job. This is more like we are gaining all the required information for free! Guess what! You can even earn money while you learn. Yes! Internships, not only help us gain knowledge but also help us earn. Isn’t that exciting?
I know finding an internship isn’t a piece of cake always. It is such a pain when you don’t get an immediate response when we apply for one. But, don’t you worry.. We are here for you. We, at snypjobs, help you find all the employers who are looking for you.
