POSITION DESCRIPTION
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are in the early stages of a journey to build a centralized Business Intelligence & Analytics Center of Excellence that will simplify and automate our information delivery through a shared digital platform; this will greatly enhance how our leaders engage in information required to manage the business. To date, the team has launched and operationalize several global dashboards. The next wave of digital reporting is underway which will help to unlock further value for BCG functions and leadership with best in class business intelligence and analytics
Working with the BI&A Product Owner, the Business Analyst will be responsible for executing analysis work related to new financial reporting and analytics needs, new dashboard and the relevant data tools for BCG. This work would include leading smaller projects through the full lifecycle of design, development, testing, deployment, training, potential enhancements and continued ongoing end user support for new and existing dashboards.
Responsibilities would include;
- Determining the reporting requirements needed to support senior management decision making across the firm with a focus on Tableau based dashboards
- Working with key finance stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
- Defining the form and content including in the output
- Identify key changes to be made to existing systems, structures, processes, and/or reports
- Understanding multiple data sources and putting together practical and viable data model for the analytics reports being prepared
- Contributing to the development of comprehensive implementation plans along with delivering the output as defined in each project’s goals and objectives
- Assessing the gaps between the prioritized requirements and the current reporting capabilities. Generating possible solution options and, with the use of an agreed set of design principles, selecting the preferred option to move forward
- Acting as a local functional subject matter expert for partnering to troubleshooting data issues, redesign processes and develop reports
- Assisting in the development of training materials and delivering trainings to end-users

- Ability to contribute to multiple work streams at once and prioritize efforts accordingly.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to scheduled conclusion
- Familiarity or willingness to work on Agile methodology will be a plus
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting, Information Systems, or Economics
- 2-4+ years of finance and reporting relevant experience; less experience considered for exceptional performers
- Sound analytical and reporting skills combined with excellent communication skills; written and oral
- Proven ability to work effectively in a global environment with people at all levels, preferably in a professional services organization
- Advanced computer literacy
- Experience with and exposure to data analytics and business intelligence tools e.g. SAP Business objects, Power BI, Tableau; writing queries, building reports, and diagnosing issues
- Prefer experience with Oracle applications such as Oracle Financials, HFM, Hyperion Planning
Knowledge/Skills (job function, technical, computer, language)
- Management consulting or professional services experience is preferred, as is global experience
- Experience and expertise in digital tools preferred
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail
- Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); Additional languages a strong plus
- High energy level and examples of creative execution strongly desired, along with an orientation towards achieving results
YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a member of the Business Intelligence Team, you will interact extensively with a diverse range of stakeholders from across the business, both geographically and functionally. This includes, but is not limited to Local, Regional, Global, and Practice Area analysis teams, as well as, overall Global finance organization. You will also be a key member of the newly set-up BI&A Team being developed out of India.
