Enhance IT is an established US based Technology consulting firm with 10 years of sustained growth. We are seeking a Director of Accounting to join our team to perform all daily bookkeeping, accounting functions and multi state payroll for our organization and its subsidiaries. In addition to assisting with monthly closing activity, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. This is a remote home-based career opportunity.
Must have US based accounting experience.
Shift : 5:30 PM to 02:30 AM (IST)
Location : Work from Home
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical accounting subject matter expertise on the treatment of accounting transactions and related financial reporting requirements
- Ensure the month-end close is completed timely and accurately
- Maintain and enforce company policies and procedures including expense reimbursement and invoice/budget approvals tracking
- Develop and support team members in their careers
- Assist in year-end external audit providing detailed and accurate work papers and documentation to outside accounting firm
- Manage periodic and annual tax filings and returns, and ensure timely submission to authorities
- Payroll management including timely tax filings and reports
- Assist with preparing accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Assists in month end close, responsible for assigned entities 1099 preparation
- Organization and maintenance of financial data and backup documentation
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Required Candidate profile
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of US accounting experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical abilities
- Proficiency with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Multi State Payroll, AP, and AR experience required
- Knowledge and application of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with payrolls and tax laws in multiple countries
