Position :Manager: FP&A (US Accounting)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The FP&A Manager is responsible for variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant focus on Financial Planning & Analysis. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Finance Controller in conducting key activities such as ensuring correct allocation of income and expenses to GL, Class, Location, etc.; accruing income and expenses, accurate month-end and year-end close, reviewing account reconciliations, preparing budget, forecast, variance analysis, and MIS reports.

Job Description
- Hands on responsibilities for reviewing classification of income, expenses, accruals, and accounting.
- Working closely with AR, AP, Payroll and Treasury team in obtaining and processing information accurately into financial system
- Computing and Posting monthly accruals, prepaid, allocations and amortizations
- Maintaining Fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Preparing, and driving the monthly close calendar
- Preparing other month end schedules, reconciliations and reports
- Preparing weekly cash flow and projections
- Assisting the Controller in establishing budgets and forecasts
- Preparing the monthly budget vs. Actual variance report and providing reasons for variance
- Alert Controller on undue movements in Cash, AP and AR.
- File and maintain all journal entries and documents for internal and audit purposes.
- Distribute monthly financials.
- Assist in automating processes and procedures.
- Assist in identifying weak spots and control weakness and establish better controls
- Assist with financial audits and tax return paperwork.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Finance Controller.
Qualifications
Required:
- MCom in Accounting or Finance, or related field or ICWAI or CA Inter
- Strong understanding of debits/credits and accounting principals.
- Strong skills in working with expenses, accounting and ability to reconcile accounts.
- Working knowledge on US GAAP
- Ability to review contract documents for terms and conditions.
- 5-7 years of General Ledger and FP&A.
- Must have worked in US MNC in similar role
- Must have worked on NetSuite, and Quick Books. Additional ERP experience is preferred
- Must have intermediate-advanced level Excel skills.
- Must have good knowledge to use Office tools like word, Outlook etc.
- Versatile and easily adaptable to new technology
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, in English.
- Must be a strong team player, highly motivated and able to work under pressure during peak periods.
