We are recruiting for a Marketing Executive to work in our Global Events business. The successful candidate will support the team by delivering activity across a variety of marketing channels to achieve target delegate revenue and delegate guest places for a number of events.
Accountabilities
How you will contribute:
- Execute the marketing strategy for a variety of events globally, including implementing the event marketing plan, working to a set budget and using a range of marketing channels to achieve set KPIs (i.e. event delegate revenue target, high-level guest acquisition)
- Undertake outbound email marketing via Eloqua EMS, creating and scheduling communications with approved target audience and message content
- Create and manage event specific websites, utilising SEO best practices to boost traffic
- Establish relationships with marketing partners including business associations, chambers of commerce, academic institutes
- Run data reports on CRM systems. Conduct research and undertake data mining to fill gaps, qualifying the leads where possible
- Manage event social media activity to generate leads
- Assist Marketing Managers to manage relationship with PR agencies, broadcast and media partners as required
- Work closely with designers to create marketing collateral including both online and print advertisements
- Data gather for post-event marketing summary documents including, but not limited to; web and email analytics, delegate survey responses, print and digital advertising, press coverage reports from PR agencies, in a timely manner
- Provide assistance with direct marketing tasks, track inbound queries / brochure downloads
- Undertake competitive analysis across industries
Experience, skills and professional attributes
The ideal skills for this role are:
- Proven relevant marketing experience (2+ years) (e.g. direct and/or events marketing, with preference given to those with conference marketing experience and industry events)
- A strong understanding of customer acquisition, online marketing and new media channels
- Experience using marketing and analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Eloqua, Salesforce, Cvent (or equivalents) and back-end website editing tools like WordPress
- Excellent written English and proof-reading skills
- Commitment to standards of excellence with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and work to tight deadlines
- An interest in current affairs
